Robert H. Ruffatto is a Managing Director of Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. and a member of the firm's investment committee, as well as the investment committee for Multifamily Partners, L.L.C. Mr. Ruffatto's responsibilities include asset management, business development, and managing institutional partner relationships. Mr. Ruffatto has spent more than 30 years helping Fortune 100 companies acquire, lease, manage, and sell corporate and investment real estate.
Prior to joining the firm in 2000, he was the Director of the $1.6 billion real estate investment portfolio for the Ameritech Pension Plan. He was also a member of Ameritech Pension Trust's five-person management team that was responsible for the investment of the company's $15.3 billion pension portfolio. Prior to Ameritech, he was a senior portfolio manager of Allstate Insurance Company's $2 billion real estate investment portfolio and led the company's program to reposition troubled mortgage loans. Mr. Ruffatto also held a senior corporate real estate position and various investment management and leasing positions with Prudential Insurance Company.
Mr. Ruffatto received a BS degree in Business from Elmhurst College and his MBA from Northern Illinois University. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Multi-Housing Council.
